It’s the most wonderful time of year! No, not Christmas. It’s Discovery’s Shark Week! In honor of the oceanic creatures, SONIC Drive-In is serving up a specialty drink that will send you into a deep blue freeze.
The new Shark Week Slush consists of a Blue Coconut Slush that’s topped with real strawberries and two shark gummy candies. It looks like a shark-bait scene, which we know sometimes happens in the Discovery stories, but this is all for fun. Plus, it delivers tropical flavors that will keep you cool as you stay glued to your TV this week.
The limited-edition drink is available starting June 12 and will be around until Aug. 1, while supplies last, a PR rep confirmed to Best Products. We don’t know about you, but we definitely don’t want to miss out on a frozen drink that’s topped with candy. Talk about a delica-sea.
“We’re excited to capture the beauty of Shark Week and the awe-inspiring ocean life the program showcases in an exhilarating treat with a trifecta of flavors,” Scott Uehlein, vice president of product innovation and development for SONIC, said in a press release. “The beachy cool Blue Coconut Slush lays a bright, aquatic blue base for Shark gummy candies and juicy strawberries, creating vivid ocean scene with a Slush for guests to celebrate both the magnificent creatures and the delicious fun of summer.”
Now if you will excuse us, we’ll be watching the stories of tiger sharks, hammerhead sharks, great whites, and more until further notice (with a Shark Week Slush in hand, obviously).
